Welcome to a Geelong Revival Centre in Depth Assessment

It began mainly for those who attend or have just left. But now it's also for those who are looking online to see if they should go.

When you’re honest with yourself, it's simple TRUTH that will set you free.

Are you’re finally standing up, having had enough?

Appreciate this time. It’s the most important decision of your life.

Follow the Truth, the blind fold comes off, you can clearly see the Geelong Revival Centre for what it is, and why you should leave.

Be proud, not ashamed, for many have done this before you and sincerely understand.

But be patient, don't rush to action. Be careful.
You make better decisions when you are in a positive mood and make bad decisions when in a negative mood.

Above all, there is happiness and meaning for you outside and free of the Geelong Revival Centre.

It'll be long but read on. Please

INTRODUCTION

1. This is an open public testimony about my experience attending the Geelong Revival Centre and then leaving. It's for you. For you who needs an honest review of what someone witnessed and continues to see.

2. Who is behind this keyboard is not important. It’s important for you to know it’s message.

3. GRC (The Geelong Revival Centre) means the GRC itself, it’s affiliate churches, pastors, ministers and members within Australia and internationally. It’s all tied into the one root system that defines it all. CLICK TO SEE LIST OF CHURCHES

4. For many decades the Pastors, Elders and members in the GRC have preached for everyone, including you, to loudly proclaim of their personal experience of what the Lord has done for them as they attend and follow the GRC’s guidelines and instruction. This experience sharing is well known as being your testimony.

5. You are reading my truthful testimony on the media type that would have been used to spread the word if this ‘inter network’ was around back in the day.

6. No one is entitled to silence or ridicule any personal testimony because it doesn’t agree with the fundamentalist GRC ideals. Anyone who has left, or even still attending should be able to read these truthful experiences and tell of their own truthful experience without hindrance. Anyone who hinders this is trying to cover up the truth.

"Go out and be a witness...and here you are looking at your screen"

THE REALITY | MY EXPERIENCE & YOUR EXPERIENCE

7. There can never be any doubt, the Geelong Revival Centre leaders hold themselves up and constantly say they're the only one true church approved by God the Creator Himself. No one can make it to heaven unless they are attending the GRC. Anyone not attending the GRC is doomed to hell. Always has been and always will be this way. This is key to this review.

8. At the GRC the leaders often say to remove your head and don’t think about the things they say you need to believe in, don’t doubt. Follow blindly in faith everything the leaders suggest with your heart while denying your flesh. They use the term “heart” and the obscure word “flesh” constantly as tools to take any focus away from the word “mind” because thinking and questioning leads to people seeing what’s really going on, doubting, then likely leaving.

9. There is a reason they don’t want you to think for yourself, it’s because nothing adds up.

10. The ministry insists you ignore your intelligence and blindly follow because they know better than you. They self proclaim they interpret the scriptures better than you. They feed their own fantasies for the dopamine rush where they themselves are the elect blessed chosen ones. They declare to be the chosen authority of God Almighty and must exercise power over everyone’s entire lives through manipulation, largely through fear. They use fear to keep people attending at any cost.

11. Getting past the irrational fears they build is the only hurdle to starting along a journey of freedom and truth finding.

12. With distance and a little time you see what’s really going on, it’s then all of what you were convinced to believe comes crashing down like a house of cards. They never let anyone in the GRC have some time off or get some distance to think, they fight that idea hard. Everyone has to go to every single meeting: Two every Sunday, Wednesday night, Saturday night if you’re under 30, every 'entire Saturday' prayer and fast they schedule throughout the year, for that unending repetitive brain rewiring thought pattern enforcement. It's exactly like many multi level marketing scams, and of course very similar to the other ten thousand plus cults around the world. The template is undeniable.

"Labour leads to love. The more you put your heart and soul into something, the more valuable it becomes to you, irrespective of any actual true outcomes and realisations"

20/9/24

THE LORD DOESN'T ANSWER PRAYER AT THE GRC:

13. Using an objective mind it’s obviously merely a numbers game, with proof of confirmation bias working inside their minds. Confirmation bias is a cognitive bias where people favour information that confirms their preexisting beliefs or values, while ignoring or dismissing information that contradicts our beliefs. Please look into the confirmation bias topic.

14. Could be 10 to 1 against prayers being answered in the GRC, doesn’t matter, just remember and mention that one time you recovered from a headache or flu quickly. Also, we’re not talking about prayers asking for big houses, big pay rises, and materialistic things, we’re talking about healings, spiritual experiences, to be strengthened in the Lord as it were, etc, as in good things to ask for. Nothing actually happens.

15. Within the Geelong Revival Centre flock, there are just as many cases of: incurable diseases, temporary medical conditions, optometric aids, broken limbs, chronic PMS, deaths by lightning, heart attacks, disabilities, mental issues, mental and physical disabilities, SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), murder, old age degeneration, low-level sickness, cold and flu, menstrual cramps, paper cuts, miscarriage, crippling crushes on attractive people, COVID-19, cancer, amputations, assaults, menopause issues, headaches, ulcers, sleep apnea, heartbreaks, job losses, crippling cases of disliking unattractive people, bullying, car crashes, and as publicly proven in court recently raped children, where both the predator and children were all long-time attending members of the GRC (where is the promised protection from the GRC shepherds of the flock right here? There isn't any! There is no protection at all! Innocent little children alone and left to be fed upon by a wolf right under the noses, even in the households, of those who promise safety and security. Says it all. Are they this stupid? Are you this stupid? Are they this blind? Are you this blind, or this far in denial?), etc... as you would find in a similar-sized group who have never even heard of the GRC, or among the numbers of ex-members.

16. It’s crucially important to understand and fully recognise the key to the figures revealing the truth is to compare statistics between the GRC and another same sized group of people who don’t attend the GRC that shares an identical lifestyle. We look deeper into this next update

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves"
For proof, because the Geelong Revival Centre will sweep it under a rug: Internet search the name -> Todd Hubers. Also known as Todd Hubers Van Assenrad

27/9/24

COMPARING APPLES WITH APPLES:

17. It’s only the results of their lifestyle that feeds an illusion of GRC people being healthier than the general public.

Don’t drink: Means less drink related health and social issues.
Don’t smoke: Means less smoke related health and social issues.
Don’t partake in risky activities and sports: Means less risk related health and social issues.
Don’t gamble: Means less financial strain and bad situations.
Save money: Means you have more money put aside.
Don’t eat excessively: Means less obesity related health and social issues.
Don’t do hard drugs: Means less drug related health and social issues.

There might be some other examples you can think of?

18. The probability of lifestyle related health issues arising with any member in the Geelong Revival Centre is the same as anyone who just follows good smart wise advice that anyone can give who is not locked into the GRC community.

19. As expected there are many cases of cold and flu in the GRC because everyone is regularly seated closely together in a confined enclosed hall. You’d think because of the Lord’s blessing there would be some protection, but there’s none, even when they’re in church.

MIRACLES ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO THE GEELONG REVIVAL CENTRE:

20. Even if I saw or heard about the odd occasional miracle looking event while attending, after I left I heard of many more miraculous outcomes from people than I did while attending the GRC. I never asked to hear of them, which could be taken as a sign that leaving was the right thing to do, it was like a creator was validating my choice to leave. I’m saying it in context for a believing reader whether you believe in a creator or not. That's for you to decide.

OCCASIONAL MIRACLES SEEMING TO HAPPEN IN THE GRC:

21. The rules of probability state that there will be outlier people who happen to experience miracle looking events related to what they asked and prayed for immediately after they prayed in the GRC. The outliers are going to likely believe, to them it can’t be refuted. Unfortunately they might be leaders in the GRC who are good salesmen, enjoy politics and are charismatic. They are likely to believe so much that they will of course do and say everything they can to convince other people. Then some get pulled in by their over excitement. To them it’s all real. It’s not. Correlation is not causation. It’s purely probability. It’s not God working in their lives because they attend and follow the GRC doctrines.

"It’s an easy to understand phenomena, an example would be: Even a broken clock is correct twice a day!"

4/10/24

SOME THINGS YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED | GOING OR NOT

22. You and you’re loved ones are not protected inside the fold of the Geelong Revival Centre. Any seemingly observed protection has nothing to do with God working in there.

23. My experience is if there is a God, Creator and/or Universal Power He/She/They want you to leave the GRC. Totally undeniable since I left.

24. There are countless amounts of brilliant people who are free from the GRC after leaving, or went for a look saw through it and didn't stay. Don’t believe the propaganda about all non and ex members being losers, hopeless and unhappy. Quite the opposite.

25. When you leave you get a new level of understanding and clarity about what is going on in there, because of hindsight. It's a hindsight that you can’t develop while attending.

26. Many ministry members present themselves very properly to other ministers and elders but show nowhere near the same respect for many in the common flock. How can they not see how it affects people? Do they not realise how this makes some feel confused and sad?

27. The Geelong Revival Centre says not to be part of the ‘world’, but they are in the ‘world’ as much as anyone else. Affected by the ‘world’ as much as anyone else. They do as much in the ‘world’ as anyone else. They cherry pick and take everything good and useful for themselves from the ‘world’ for their own benefit, then explain how everything in the ‘world’ is evil. There is no special separation from themselves and the ‘world’. It’s an imagined barrier, not reality.

28. There are many bad people in the ‘world’, but whether you attend the GRC or not, you’re still going outside into town, to work and things aren’t you? Same thing either way. Not protected from bad people if you attend the GRC. How many cases of harm and assaults against GRC attending people do you need to know about to realise this?

29. One aspect about society and it’s people is you cannot judge a book by it’s cover. A person you don’t expect to be is often actually the kindest, most considerate soul under that facade. When it comes to go-time they actually step up, dig in and help strangers out. Putting themselves in various levels of danger doing so, or giving them a hand with some time or donating money. These types of people tend to be looked down upon by members of the GRC. But how can that be? Not very Christ like behaviour is it?

30. Popular rumours about people who have left the GRC are often totally made up, or vastly exaggerated. Nearly every rumour I was told was badly fabricated. Not all rumours, but most.

31. Since I’ve left the Geelong Revival Centre I have been healthier than ever, hardly been sick since, and it’s been ample enough time to see the proof without bias. Mentally far better off also.

32. The behaviours and teachings in the Geelong Revival Centre are confusing, abstract and contradictory. The GRC teaching and life experiences while attending do not match, so the message is not clear at all. God is not the author of confusion is He? But it’s very confusing in there which results in a lot of hurt going on in people while there and when they leave. The GRC is a Faith killing machine.

33. Telling someone in the GRC they aren’t receiving what they are praying for because they aren’t praying correctly is an extreme cop out. Highly condescending isn’t it? Could you make it any worse spiritually for anyone truly searching in humility than saying this to them? No one has been given divine magic power to know how someone prayed. Anyone who says this is a narcissist. Distance yourself from anyone who has says this to you, there are doing you harm. Your basic genuine prayer won't be answered while you are in the GRC, it's not you my friend, it's the GRC you are committed to that's obstructing your needs.

34. You achieve the same mental resetting/clarity/mind calming results through meditation as you do praying in the GRC. Many ways to prompt the mind to have answers and ideas to appear, to feel relaxed and in control.

35. Everything ‘GRC’ is led by emotions. They operate by consciously and subconsciously leading and bending their thoughts to manipulate emotions so they can validate any possible outcome that can ever unfold, good or bad. They don’t ever consider what is actually happening in reality without distorting it to suit.

36. It’s just an example of our basic belief system at work in the Geelong Revival Centre. In this case a belief system that uses the GRC group therapy workings as a mechanism to focus itself. Thoughts become things principle. Watch the docutainment show “The Secret” that was on TV – Same book, different cover. There’s lot’s of versions of the belief system working. Religion, crystals, aroma therapy, hallucinogens, vision boards, all can do it. Take note I didn’t say any belief system actually works in bringing changes to reality. But it can absolutely make people feel empowered, fulfilled, enlightened, blessed, smug, in control, mighty, strong, special, gifted, have faith in something and all those wonderful emotions. Sound familiar?

37. Not saying prayer does or doesn’t work outside of the GRC. You should search this out free from the confusing GRC narrative and results. What do you think happens if you pray after you leave the GRC?

38. You need to decide for yourself if the Geelong Revival Centre is a cult, so please look at many examples of infamous cults from around the world. A lot of methods demonstrated throughout the Geelong Revival Centre directly align with many infamous cult leader and cult group ways, cult group size being an emotional validation to members also playing a huge part. The psychological behaviours are very similar. If you like to look into cult behaviours for yourself research this list for a start, there are great documentaries, websites and pieces of literature about them available;
Twin Flames Universe.
Rajneeshpuram.
Heaven’s Gate.
Jim Jones – Jonestown.
Many aspects align, it’s hard to refute. Wisely decide for yourself if the Geelong Revival Centre is a cult. There’s many examples of charismatic controlling people and groups of people who are extremely successful at conning people into believing life altering thoughts that are very wrong. Many people are capable of starting a cult, thankfully most don’t.

"Prayers don't get answered in the Geelong Revival Centre, even kids get abused and raped while the Geelong Revival Centre ministry guarantees your safety. But wait there's more, if you stay and do everything the GRC says they promise you'll go to Heaven. They promise you'll go to Heaven as it says it in the Bible just like all the healings promised in the Bible you don't get in the GRC. It's extremely sad. The GRC is an Atheist Making Machine."

11/10/24

39. People who only behave well because they know (think) that they’re being supervised by a creator are lame compared to those who do good while knowing (thinking) there is no God supervising, or after life. The motives that drive people are most important. People in the GRC pointing to all those that don’t go as bad people, when there are many people who don’t go that don’t believe in God or any creator who behave better than those in the GRC. Who do you really want to associate and be with?

40. The population of the world is 8.1 billion. The GRC, is a group of only a few thousand people who proclaim they’re the only ones right with God. The saying “If it seems too good to be true – it is!” rings loudly here. Imagining you’re one of the only very few favoured by God extreme limited editions has to boost the ego hard of course. It’s why they dig in so hard and don’t budge. Got to hang onto that amazing title, even if it’s wrong. Direct thoughts in any way to keep believing it.

41. It’s also more than reasonable to think that such a tiny representation of the earth’s population who are the Lord’s only true chosen followers would see an obvious open amount of miracles within that group. There isn’t any. Zero proof in the GRC. The miracles and unavoidable obvious signs of the Lord’s work would attract people in their thousands like honey. But there is no honey. Lots of disappointment, confusion and ongoing hurt actually. A lot of it going on behind closed doors.

42. If what the Geelong Revival Centre was preaching was actually really happening with regards to The Lord working in attendee’s lives, myself and many many more would still be attending regularly. It’s not the case. Proof is in the pudding. That’s why people have left and should continue to do so. The ones staying in the Geelong Revival Centre aren't leaving because they're being threatened, made fearful and don't want to be missing loved ones if they leave. It's just like every other cult, but you decide.

43. If the Lord was working in the Geelong Revival Centre there’d also be a lot of genuine ‘witnessing’ (evangelising) going on. That’s why there is little growth. Why would any genuinely honest person try to bring anyone to the GRC?

44. The GRC is not evenly spread out in any sense throughout the world’s population. Small pockets only in fifteen or so countries is minimal. If it was not just man’s close proximity reaching love bombing then fear mongering and it was actually the Lord’s work they’d be a lot more evenly spread out so a lot more people would hear the message.

45. The GRC witnessing in very poor corrupt countries and love bombing the people so they come is the world’s best example of ‘Picking the lowest hanging fruit’ to boost numbers in history. Of course they’re going to want to go to the GRC meetings. It’s not the word being preached that’s attracting poor and struggling people, it’s the hope they’re getting. The love bombing, the attention. Nowhere near a sign that the GRC is the one only faithful church. These people deserve and need better than the GRC.

46. It’s absolutely good for anyone to enter into poor and suffering people’s lives to help and give. But call a spade a spade and don’t use this as any sign that the GRC is the one and only righteous church that saves. Don’t mislead the hopeful here. Yes, give them something but give them the truth with it. Let them decide which church to attend without the GRC telling people they’ll go to hell if they don’t pick the GRC.

47. Kids are stuck in the Geelong Revival Centre. No choice. Some have been and may continue to be evilly abused the same in the GRC as anywhere else. Lie and twist whatever they want, there’s obviously no separation from the ways of the ‘world’. How is it that the GRC professes you are safe when you do exactly what they say, yet innocent and helpless GRC kids get destroyed over many years unnoticed? Right under the noses of the self praising wise elect chosen who claim to be ‘IT’. Where are the all knowing all protecting gifts in the GRC while the kids are being harmed?

48. All the Geelong Revival Centre ‘shepherds’ need to be held accountable. They need to accept they are failures then need to acknowledge they mislead the children, mislead the parents, and mislead the whole flock. If this isn’t enough of a signal and reason for you and anyone else to leave then you personally deserve the situation. Change it.

49. The Geelong Revival Centre kids don’t deserve that situation, but they’re sacrificed, that’s on those mums and dads. It’s very very very wrong. To loudly proclaim and force everyone, every small helpless kid to believe they’re safe in the GRC and now what’s been happening, has happened again, and will probably keep happening, is pure evil. This will come back and haunt the parents. Has it ever come across any of their stupid foolish minds this is going on a hell of a lot more than they realise? And these confused, hurt, lonely kids turn out to be confused, hurt and lonely adults to suffer indefinitely. Then the GRC has the gall to call them the backsliders and other insulting derogatory names after they leave. Is anyone in the GRC so insanely unintelligent that they call a website like this the work of the devil and it’s just another test for them that will pass, a form of persecution? Do they want a gathering of all those who have been hurt to just fade away and stay quiet? Are they really that low, that dishonest, that blind to what they are doing?

50. The Geelong Revival Centre forces the point that a 14yr old is old enough to decide if they want to commit their whole life to the church. 14yr olds who have been relentlessly enforced to believe exactly what every GRC person around them has said and to never dare think and search out for themselves. It’s that under developed 14yr old’s commitment that keeps them going via a grip through guilt later on in life. They were told they’re making a lifetime commitment, and now it’s enforced that it’s wrong to change it. 14 and never allowed to question as they grew up is not a developed sound minded person is it?

"Taste and see that...there's tonnes of exaggeration and nothing going on at the Geelong Revival Centre beside people controlling others through emotions and grandiose delusions."

18/10/24

51. For every scripture they twist to try and prove the Geelong Revival Centre is the only path to redemption there are two more you could twist to say the opposite. The Geelong Revival Centre is far removed from the Bible. The Geelong Revival Centre is an insult to the Bible. Using a professional arena analogy The Geelong Revival Centre is like a group of people with cake making skills at a maximum, but they're acting smart claiming to use Space-X Rocket instructional manuals to impress all those who'll listen, but the GRC has nothing to do with space exploration they're making cakes at best...or just trying to play church in this case, that's it. That’s why I don’t bother with any scriptures on this website. If they ever use the Bible scriptures to argue any of their points just tell them they definitely don't represent the Bible. Ask how it is that they absolutely promise the Protection of the Lord yet their own kids get molested right under their noses for many years. Call them out on it. The Geelong Revival Centre has zero authority to use the Bible as a reason to follow them.

52. For every analogy the Geelong Revival Centre gives to support the scriptures and their claims there is an equal anti analogy to undermine the Geelong Revival Centre. Example: “You don’t need to drink poison to know it’s bad for you, so don’t leave the GRC to find out.” But if the water in the GRC well doesn’t taste good you should go somewhere else where it’s sweet shouldn’t you? Unfortunately children don't get to hear the anti-analogies, they're only brainwashed to keep going using common cult tactics. By the time they are adults the hard wiring cult enforcement is completed and cannot be undone, unless they are genuine seekers of the truth, honest with themselves and start planning an escape to freedom and reality.

53. Many who have never even heard of the Geelong Revival Centre, would actually give their life for mankind if they could. Definitely many altruistic people outside of the GRC. Again, don’t believe the propaganda the GRC spreads. There’s lots of people that have never even heard of the GRC who deeply care about people they’ve never even met.

54. People in the Geelong Revival Centre claim they have special God given intuitions, feelings, prophecies, revelations, all very vague with outcomes showing pure and simple probability at play. Flukes and simple basic confirmation bias at it again. Very wishy washy. This attribution is dangerous and not something that anyone should be proud of.

55. Yesterday, today and forever Jesus is the same and it’s most important to follow His example... but the Geelong Revival Centre changes like the weather depending on who and what is in topic, often is two sets of rules. Seniority and higher rank always wins, unless things can’t be twisted enough, or covered up and the truth hidden. Again, very confusing. Easter camp was incredibly important for decades, then it was scrapped because it was too much effort to set up. Wait a minute, that was just ‘the flesh complaining' wasn’t it?

56. The Geelong Revival Centre is a strongly inclined materialistic group. This includes the ministry and elders. The materialistic boasting in the GRC is annoying, they should stop, because they’re just average and naive. It’s not proof of being the one real church. Boasting about being wealthy and successful is quite contrary to what Jesus would want, but that goes straight over their heads. They focus on financial wisdom and success far more than any church person anywhere ever should. Many churches love money. For clarification there are some very nice people in there who have done really really well, and they don’t boast and gloat, and they have helped many who needed it, but they’re in the minority.

57. I saw too much lying for the sake of financial gain by people in the Geelong Revival Centre, people who should now realise they made the whole GRC look bad over a few hundred measly dollars. They should be ashamed of themselves.

58. It’s not just the ministry to blame for everyone’s actions in there. Every adult in there is acting by their own choice. Over the top discipline for kids is not uncommon. Many people are really just childminders cowardly bullying the kids in their possession and not really loving parents are they? Not all attendees do this, but many do. It’s not a secret is it?

59. There are some who will mentally struggle in or when they leave the Geelong Revival Centre. The decisions, actions and behaviours by the GRC are often extremely confusing and enough to send many mad and crazy. Then the Geelong Revival Centre ministry victim blames the soul that is suffering. For real. It’s cruel. If you are a Geelong Revival Centre Minister and want a clear conscience you can and should leave the GRC, you'll be just like us who have left and gone forward, there is understanding and acceptance for you if you do leave.

60. There are some absolute champions who attend the Geelong Revival Centre. I have not heard anyone who has left say there aren’t any good people in there. Lots of love and respect for those in the GRC that really care about people and how they behave towards others in general. Always hoping they leave so we can see them free. Always great to find out about new ones who have advanced and moved on leaving the Geelong Revival Centre. Sometimes we’re surprised by who has left and it’s great, but equally perplexed about who keeps going. Although, of course there are some in there who'll always be arrogant, selfish, rude and worth little to anyone except for being an example of what not to be as a person, whether they attend the Geelong Revival Centre or not.

61. Had a lot of fun times while in the GRC for sure, but I wouldn’t continue to sacrifice the truth and my conscience for that.

62. I’ve had very wonderful amazing occurrences happen in my life since I left. More so than when I was locked in the GRC. It’s cemented my belief that it was right to leave, that alone has been it’s own reward – and it continues to prove itself to me. It started happening from the first day I stopped going. This is far more convincing than the feeble straw clutching that goes on at the Geelong Revival Centre.

"The Geelong Revival Centre ministers promise you 'The Protection of The Lord' if you do everything as they say, follow them - but where is that protection exactly? There is no protection under the Ministry at the Geelong Revival Centre. They're only building up people's faith, faith in something that constantly fails. And then that's not faith, that's naive stupidity."

25/10/24

63. Meek people sit back and watch. Observing and taking notes. They don’t use a loud voice to talk over others and they go away and think. They do better in many ways. Don’t mistaken all people who are nice and meek to be weak, thinking that is foolish. It’s even possible a meek one will publish a website to help get the truth about the Geelong Revival Centre out to everyone.

64. World War 3 prediction. Really? Always been wars. Not a great prophecy. Perfect tool for scaring people to keep going to the Geelong Revival Centre though isn't it? It’s an obvious prediction, just like there being another split in the Geelong Revival Centre isn’t another amazing prediction because it’s obvious. Splits where a church group breaks off into two separate churches (both of course claiming they are the only right one to follow) because of spiritual power struggles and arguing points will continue because there is no proof, no glue that binds as it's all emotionally driven. Just so happens the Geelong Revival Centre split is the only branch that is correct every time this happens, says the Geelong Revival Centre...that can't keep children under the Geelong Revival Centre's full control protected from predators.

65. When someone leaves or gets kicked out of the Geelong Revival Centre it does not anywhere near mean they are leaving or have left the Lord. In many cases they have gone to find the Lord actually working with signs and miracles in communities and lives elsewhere where there is a truthful ministry. The Geelong Revival Centre may have been a first introduction to Christianity, or something else for you to amazingly discover as there’s a lot more to be found away from the Geelong Revival Centre. Look elsewhere and receive it. There is a lot more out here away from the Geelong Revival Centre to make you happy and content, in a way that you can share with anyone else unrestricted. Wouldn't that be good?

66. I feel the most for any person who still believes in God and everything the Bible has been interpreted to say exactly the way the Geelong Revival Centre teaches and strongly enforces, and this person made a mistake in a weak moment or otherwise against the Geelong Revival Centre's guidelines. Then got forcibly removed from their loved ones which is evil enough but now also carry the weight of thinking they are worthless and there's no hope for them. They feel forsaken and think they are doomed to hell. Still attending parents, attending family and attending old friends keep telling them they're going to hell, the Lord is against them now and keep piling on the manure. When they’re actually not doomed and a valuable person. Best thing for them was to actually stop attending, even if they got kicked out, but they may never realise it. Realise it friend. Your position heavily influenced this website.

67. Also very much feel for those who freed themselves from the Geelong Revival Centre and then unfortunately got sick, real sick, or even died thinking it was because they left the Geelong Revival Centre. Being honest with yourself and leaving was not why you got sick it was just that your number came up as wild probability at the worst time. It’s horrible. Unfortunately people in the Geelong Revival Centre would use your sickness as ammunition and a sign to everyone why you shouldn’t leave the Geelong Revival Centre. Another lie. The lies and fear mongering keep coming. If you’re sick and hurting take comfort knowing many of us feel for you and will help if we can in any way.

EX GEELONG REVIVAL CENTRE MEMBER RECONNECTION DRIVE

68. There’s a new reconnection drive on at the Geelong Revival Centre. If it's not a GRC ministry planned and lead reconnection recruitment drive it's possibly a sign of members having enough of shunning lost loved ones at the same time coincidentally. Geelong Revival Centre attending members reconnecting with past family members and friends who left. The Geelong Revival Centre doesn’t realise it’s quite telling and slimy.

69. It's often heavily preached and enforced by the Geelong Revival Centre ministry and members to completely cut off, ignore, snub, tell them they’re going to hell, and be extra negative towards any ‘backslider’…because through some really backward thinking that’s how you entice ex members back or it’s just great to get the person to feel bad for the rest of their lives if they aren’t ever allowed back. Being rude and mean to ex members is somehow a good thing to do. Hoping and actually praying that people who woke up and left the Geelong Revival Centre were having a really bad time in the ‘world’ is a very practiced method for many of the ministry and many members (not all) for a very very long time. By their reasoning Geelong Revival Centre members being nasty and rude to people who have moved on from the GRC would make them feel bad about their decision to leave and make the ex members beg to come back to the GRC, the Geelong Revival Centre ministry and members who are so nice and wise to be around apparently. We know that’s all completely wrong of course.

70. Now it seems the method has flipped for many attendees, Geelong Revival Centre members are being really nice and supportive to ex members. Making an effort to contact out of the blue. It’s extremely obvious, as in obvious they must be really naive to think we all don’t see right through what is going on. How stupid do they think we who have advanced and left are? We are actually the sincere people here, not the fake people putting on an obvious act. Do any of them think we’ll just let go of the memories of how bad they’ve been to us over the years? Are they really this stupid? Are they really this shallow?

71. A recruitment drive, possibly due to Pastor Noel Hollins approaching his end of life period (he has now passed away), having regrets and rethinking the processes and the Geelong Revival Centre dealings in the past. It’s far too late for many, far too much damage done, that horse bolted a long time ago when many people were split from their families and loved ones, sent away alone, convinced they were going to hell, and never ever possibly be able to go back to the GRC. The damage to people’s lives is evil and a huge tell on it’s own. That can’t be undone. People who were condemned to hell, belittled and isolated, are now being approached to come back because the GRC was wrong at some time back whenever. It’s ridiculous.

72. Let us remove the Geelong Revival Centre knives from our backs at least first please. Many family members torn apart from each other by the GRC, crushed, hurt and confused for how long, but now there is some sort of truce?

73. How much hurt has been caused over many years to so many people, and now it’s like “Oh heyyy how are you, yeah we turned our backs on you for so long, praying you were having a really bad time, but been thinking lately how we’re interested in you now, interested in what you are into and your lives, oh and by the way there were some wrong decisions back then about you that wrecked your life…” They look so stupid and don’t even realise how bad they look. They once looked really bad, but now...wow.

74. Not all GRC members are doing the ‘backslider backflipper trick’, because some in there have always been nice to everyone going or not. There are some really nice and thoughtful caring people attending the Geelong Revival Centre. Thinking of them. I’d love to know which nice families are accepting each other back from both sides and everyone is happy again. It is good for people to get back together but there are many contexts here. If Geelong Revival Centre members can be nice to ex members who are family then they can also be nice to those who have left who aren't family. Correct? It would be a much nicer place.

Next update has a change in direction and talks to those still attending and contemplating leaving.

In the meantime try this exercise;
Get a piece of paper and draw two columns.
Label the left column Bad Reviews and label the right column Good Reviews.
Search the internet about the Geelong Revival Centre (or Center, or GRC) and as you find information about the Geelong Revival Centre mark each column accordingly.
When you’re done, do you see it?
Yep, probably not one good review - It's The Geelong Revival Cult!

Two more cults to look into to see many similarities to the Geelong Revival Centre are the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) and the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Keep in mind Geelong Revival Centre ministry and members are proud of the fact they get labelled fundamentalist.

IF YOU'RE STILL ATTENDING AND STILL READING:

75. Thank you.

76. It’s likely you’re feeling a mix of emotions, there's a feeling deep down in your gut and you’re curious to keep looking at this website or you wouldn’t be here. That’s OK and normal. You’ve been thinking for yourself and the red flags that come up should not be ignored. Deep inside you need to be the better honest person, you really sincerely want the truth, you’re not getting truth at the GRC, you start seeing more clues as you think for yourself and feel the blindfold loosening. Keep searching, the truth isn’t at the Geelong Revival Centre.

The truth will set you free

77. Part of you feels bad for going against your church leader’s, loved one’s and current church friend’s strict rule of not thinking about and reading any differing views. Know it’s normal to feel sad, scared and even sometimes mad if you’re contemplating leaving.

78. Maybe you’re confused, you’ve done as much as you can to follow the Geelong Revival Cult’s version of the truth but things don’t add up or work at all as promised by the dishonest ministry and other members. You’ve had enough, like so many of those that have already left. Like me.

79. Maybe you’re also excited for new real amazing changes in your life. A new life of amazing experiences and people. I hope so, it’s all here waiting right now, right this minute. It’s in you ready to go. Just have to make that step but you need to plan it well first.

80. You may wonder and have fears about being alone, having to deal with the pushing back, the angry faces, the fighting, the belittling, the outright bullying, and the condescension from GRC members, the moving out of a nice home if required, and the perceived shame. The Geelong Revival Centre ministry justifies all that behaviour. Although as discussed the Geelong Revival Centre may be re-evaluating that behaviour at the moment – due to the dwindling numbers and the end of life situation possibly.

81. You might get little pangs of fear while imagining the lighting bolt that kills you, or the bus that hits you the day after you leave – but that never comes.

82. You can start again. Keep going on your journey to discover a lot more than the Geelong Revival Centre can ever offer.

83. I’m not much, not important, not strong but I faced all those fears, those emotions, nasty actions and emotions of others that you may be about to and extremely glad I did from the moment I left. All the actions by the ministry and some members of the Geelong Revival Centre made it extremely clear leaving was absolutely the correct and smart thing to do.

84. It’s not easy removing yourself from your friends in the Geelong Revival Centre because they're often your only ones. The Geelong Revival Centre absolutely enforcers a no non-Geelong Revival Centre friends policy, so you think you haven't got much outside support. The thing is you might be surprised what happens when you leave and where support comes from. You can easily make more friends when you are free and happy, and what’s true is that some friends you make will be better that any you had while attending. That might not become apparent until you leave and make new friends and even family!

85. You are ultimately responsible for your own actions. If you can find and read this page you can start working on leaving the Geelong revival Centre. No one is coming to rescue you and take you away unfortunately. You stay – you choose. You keep following their instructions, you are responsible for the resulting reactions. While you keep attending you are enabling The Geelong Revival Centre ministry. Once an adult you are free to choose, and leave. Yes, the brainwashing and force feeding of the Geelong Revival Centre's false prophet ministry has a control of part of you but you can start controlling the parts they haven't reached. You can overwrite everything you once believed that's coming undone with truth. You can do this.

86. The Geelong Revival Centre says backsliders all seek themselves out when they leave. All people who left are a miserable bunch of losers because no one else can associate with them...people who left can’t help themselves...they can’t live a good life when they leave...etc. This is by far a massive lie, sheer propaganda. It’s completely false in so many ways. For one we’re not backsliders, we didn’t slide back, we went forward onto better things that are real and stopped believing the rubbish preached and practised at the Geelong Revival Centre. We’re Advancers. We make many friends and associates with those who never went to the Geelong Revival Centre, many who are the salt of the earth. We also sometimes bump into and reconnect with legends who went to the Geelong Revival Centre but advanced on and left. Why wouldn’t we? Who is that stupid that twists this any other way? More lies. We also don’t associate with anyone that went to the Geelong Revival Centre that we didn’t like, because often people stay the same either way. We’re as successful and happy as anyone could be in the GRC. It’s actually laughable that they keep pushing this propaganda that we can’t be happy and content. There are indeed some that suffer after they leave but that’s usually due to what happened to them at the Geelong Revival Centre, as mentioned earlier. Anyone in the Geelong Revival Centre who had any hand in anyone who has suffered through the Geelong Revival Centre's behaviours should be really concerned about what they’ve done and start fixing their mistakes with people.

87. There are those now in the Geelong Revival Centre who love saying the old GRC mantra of ‘I once was a wondering sheep lost in the world’ but now claim they are safe in the church and found their true home. They talk about how everyone in the world is bad and they couldn’t find any good person. They say, “Don’t leave the Geelong Revival Centre church because I’ve lived out there and it’s all bad... Don’t do it, you don't have to because I have and failed…”. Well could it be they had poor people skills, hung around the wrong crowd, made weak choices? That was their problem. They now relish in the 'Love Bombing' and ego satisfying attention they get in the Geelong Revival Centre and that’s all there is to it. Seriously, if they were unsuccessful socially in the world before they went to the Geelong Revival Centre that’s on them, not the so called ‘world’. Good grief. Zero judgement on anyone who struggles socially anywhere, feeling for you and I'd love to be your friend, but don’t think the Geelong Revival Centre is remotely anywhere near the Lord’s answer for it because the Geelong Revival Centre is the Lord’s only one true church and then a sign of it being so.

88. When wars, terrorists attacks, outbreaks and other bad things happen people go back to the Geelong Revival Centre because of their irrational fear of missing out on some sort of perceived protection. But there is no protection under the Geelong Revival Centre's false prophet ministry. When people do go back during these ugly situations that can unfold at any moment it’s no sign at all that the Geelong Revival Centre is the only true church as they absolutely claim as stated in 7. which is key to this review.

"Be a true searcher and go out – Don’t let the Geelong Revival Centre ministry or anyone in it search for you - They will continue to mislead you. I hope you see through it."

WHY PEOPLE STAY LOCKED IN THE GEELONG REVIVAL CENTRE

89. There’s a few reasons people stay and keep attending after they realise all is not what they’ve been told to believe.

90. Born into it: If you were born into it you have been 100% conditioned mentally to staying locked in, through fear– the conditioning will be strongest. This is probably the hardest lock to break but with realisation through sound thinking, research, and just plainly opening your eyes the lock can be broken and you can be set free in every way, to go onto better and much more rewarding things.

91. Married with family inside: This is also a hard lock to break. If the relationships are good it’s hard to leave. Keeping the perceived good family thing going is worth more than breaking away and ceasing to support a lie possibly. These people won’t ever bring new people along because they understand it’s a scam. But if you’re really keen on being altruistic and support the truth you can leave, and leave anyone behind, you can start again. Best outcome is when your family acts gracefully towards you and they agree you can stay in the household. Be good, don’t rock the boat or poke the bear. You’re extremely fortunate and should be grateful.

92. Entire friend social structure is locked inside: After being continually enforced that you can’t have friends who don’t attend the GRC, you have no free friends on the outside and don’t want to be alone. This isn’t as a big deal as you think. You can make new friends and once you start collecting some you will find all sorts and some will be better than you ever had. There will be some friends that don’t work out. It’s OK. Might take a little while and patience. You’ve met some awesome people at work, school and in your neighbourhood, get to know them better. Everyone only needs a mere handful of close friends, more close friends than that aren’t necessary and will hinder your valuable time with the best ones anyway.

93. Too young to leave: Mum and/or dad force you to go, not much you can do but wait until the time is right. Leaving your family and being in the hands of the Department Of Human Services (or similar government organisation) could easily end up worse for you. I don’t recommend you leaving your mum and dad generally unless you are being abused. If you are being abused then you have to talk to people outside the GRC. Turning to anyone inside the GRC is the wrong answer in this situation. You’d think that if kids told their parents they were being abused that the parents would pull stumps and leave the GRC, but as seen this is often not the case. Your parents would be weak and duds in the case they keep going. They have been indoctrinated hard, and continue to kid themselves. You need to turn to the police, a teacher, coach, friend’s parent, boss, neighbour or other adult you trust to open up to. Be brave. Be strong little fighter. Keep your wits up. Don’t let your guard down. You may have some tough times, lonely times, but keep focused, it’s better than if you are being abused at home. You got this young one. Wishing you well. It’s kids like you that can go on to better the world.

94. Too old to leave: Dependent on others. Also locked in.

95. Tied with work: Locked into work relationships that can’t easily be disconnected.

96. The 'FEAR attender': Locked into thinking along the lines of – If I leave I’ll get sick, I’ll die early, I’ll be going to hell, the Lord won’t love me, I’ll stay just in case it’s real, they’ll call me a backslider, I’ll see them around town and I’ll not know where to look, they’ll make me feel guilty/dirty/evil/ashamed/other. You can change this feeling. I’ve never bumped into anyone I never wanted to see since leaving. Never been in a situation with any attending GRC members I wasn’t happy with. Remember there are some legends who still attend, I’d even take a bullet for many. They may not do the same in return, I understand this, it’s OK. It is what it is.

97. Convinced to stay: Keep being talked into staying through guilt trips, condescension, lies, over exaggeration, belittling, fear, twisting things, bullying, beltings, abuse, stupid analogies of which there is always an analogy opposite the one they give, hollow made up stories about some who left, yelling, attitude. The convinced to stay people have had their self esteem shattered, they do or don’t realise it, or push the thought of that aside. Group therapy, as in when you’re fully immersed in one group only, many times a week, with a constant theme and behaviour it has to all be true right? – no, it’s wrong on so many levels. There’s a lot of dishonesty. Love bombing. Temporary and shallow love bombing. Love bombing that stops if you don’t tow the line. It’s an addiction thing. Pattern behaviour you can’t seem to break, habits die hard.

98. They imply you are not a prophet and at the same time declare they themselves are prophets and organise your whole life for you: People who deem themselves wiser, smarter, more knowledgeable about the bible, keep putting you under them and tell you exactly what to think and do. In the guise of keeping you safe from your own mind. They’re protecting you from yourself. So you keep doing it. In reality you are wise to what's really going on, and feel it, but you don’t believe in yourself enough to do what you have to. Meditate over this, and receive the change inside you need.

99. Emotionally invested with too much to lose now: They spent many many years telling everyone and everything that the Geelong Revival Centre is it. There is no other, everyone else is going to hell but them. They insulted so many, they’ve raised and praised themselves up so much they would look really really stupid if they turned around now. It’s the “sunk cost fallacy” but instead of a financial scam it’s the amount of time, effort and ego invested that needs even more pouring into, hoping like hell it’s not a bad dream. But the thing is it’s not too late. The humility it takes to admit they were wrong will see them through in leaps and bounds and there will be advanced people ready to welcome them with open arms. They need to suck up the ego, leave and move onto better more productive things. It’s an emotionally invested spectrum. The spectrum goes from the lower level followers who just keep going to tag along as seat warmers who don’t want to admit they were wrong, to the top level ministry who have done all the enforcing and can’t take all the years of themselves being wrong back.

100. Keep following the confirmation bias train: To these types everything is good in there. Healings and signs they see all the time. No, no they don’t, it’s in their heads the wrong way. The exact same things, if not even more amazing, happen to people free from the Geelong Revival Centre all the time.

101. The brain is very plastic and programmable: Keep feeding it the same teaching over and over and over and it’s locked in, even if it’s not true. If You Tell A Lie Big Enough and Keep Repeating It, People Will Eventually Come To Believe It. Wednesday night, Saturday nights, whole Saturdays and twice on Sunday will do that. Once you leave and give yourself permission, space and time to think it starts to come undone and you see a lot of things clear up and it all starts making sense. It really is like a blindfold coming off and a weight lifts off your shoulders. It’s an amazing experience.

102. The group support base is reassuring: The GRC church will hold me up when I’m weak. If there is a war or other bad situation we have strength in numbers. This can be correct, but it has absolutely zero to do with the Geelong Revival Centre being the only church in the world in God’s favour. You’ll feel the same comforting emotions in a sporting group, political party, other religion, military organisation...many different communities, not only in the Geelong Revival Centre.

103. They like the schedule, the regimented rules, being organised by others plus it's a form of entertainment: It’s just what they have always done and listening to the over the top sanctimonious preaching with cute sounding stories using that typical GRC preaching vocal infection from the platform is entertainment. Don’t have to think for themselves. They gave their life to it, can’t change their mind now. Yes they can change their mind. There’s two sides to a contract, if the GRC breaks their side, because no true objective signs, you should bail out.

104. Habit. The more you do something the more you are likely to keep doing it: Not the reason to keep going is it?

"If the pastor and two elders pray for you and nothing happens, it's them with a big problem, not you. Where is the ministry's faith in this case? Again - The GRC ministry is a faith killing machine like a snake eating it's own tail until it's gone."
